• Card blocking:

If you block your card, we will send you a new one, with the same contract and PIN as your old card. This card, being new, will have a new PAN and will not contain the history of the last movements of the blocked card.

• Temporary suspension of the card:

From now on, by limiting the card's operation, rather than blocking it, you can temporarily suspend it and reactivate it later, without having to request a new one.

BBVA blocks your card when it detects a breach to avoid fraudulent transactions. You may not notice any unusual movements, but we know that the card details are in the hands of a third party and, for your security, we have blocked the card.

We will automatically send you a new card to the address you provided.

At BBVA, we temporarily suspend your card if we detect abnormal behavior and if we suspect that the data is in the hands of third parties. For the security of your account, in these cases, we limit all card operations by blocking online and in-store purchases.

If the suspicious transaction was not carried out by you, the card will be permanently blocked and a new one will be sent to the address that you provided.
