BBVA and Google Cloud today announced a new strategic partnership to transform the bank's security strategy by optimizing and improving its infrastructure. As part of this global agreement, BBVA will partner with Google Cloud to develop revolutionary new artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) models to predict and prevent cyber attacks against its banking infrastructure, providing greater security for the bank and its customers.
BBVA is the first bank in Europe to use Chronicle, Google Cloud's security analysis platform that allows teams to store and analyze all security data in one place to detect and analyze threats on a large scale. BBVA will introduce Google Cloud's innovative AI capabilities into its security strategy and create its "Security Operations Center" of the future.
In this center, Google Cloud and BBVA will work to jointly develop a new platform that will allow the bank to adopt more advanced technology with a more effective cost structure and greater scalability. Using Google Cloud Chronicle, combined with the expertise of BBVA's security operations departments, will enable the bank to leverage the best AI capabilities to prevent cyber attacks.
